| These days seamless aluminum rain guters are the standard. They tend to require less maintenance, but still require upkeep. Gutters should be kept free of leaves and other debris so that water is not allowed to back up at the downspouts. When this happens, the weight can dislodge or bend the gutters causing them to sag or leak. Remove leaves and clean dirt and debris from the gutters with a wire brush. Pull out the old gutter spike with a pair of pliers. If hidden hangers are used simply back out the screw. |
